Biography

The interdisciplinary artist Mei-Kuei Feu sketch everyday life in pictures and videos. In her installations, she explores the possibility to create a connection between the image space and the public. She is particularly interested in related to sensory experience memories that cause a shift in the mental space. Since 2011, she has worked on the evanescent movement trace of breathing. In 2012, she made a residence and a solo exhibition at the Centre for Research Creation in Media Arts La Bande Vidéo.

Native of Taiwan, Mei-Kuei Feu lives and works in Montreal since 1996. Graduated in Fine Arts from the University Tung-Hai (Taiwan), she also holds an MFA from the University of Quebec in Montreal. She received several public and private scholarships for her creation projects and community art. Alongside his work of creation, she has accumulated experience as a teacher and curator. Her works in installation and photography were presented in Quebec, British Columbia and Taiwan.
